The Small Room

There is a small room
Since I was a little girl
At times full of dust
But nobody can touch

In that small room
You will sit quietly hours and hours
Going through pages
Books after books
Which I don’t understand

You are an angry man
Full of frustration and resentment
Bitterness you can’t forget
Hatred you can’t avoid
Happiness beyond reach
Until the day I understand

In the small room
The books is your only friend
In your world of wisdom

From Shakespeare to Chairil Anwar
Salman Rushdie Khalil Gibran
Literature poets’ sajak and pantun
Hamlet Macbeth Romeo and Juliet
Singing through your lips
Each sentences and quotes as a rhythm

One day I grew up
Peeping through the small room
Into your world of wisdom

It was dark and empty
The books are neatly stack
I’m lost and alone
Because I will never be you…
