In The Dark

Looking at the fragile face
Lying on the hospital bed
My heart cried

It has been long
It has been often
But this time is different
Something words are not able to express
Feelings full of doubt
Tears are kept inside

There is no more laughter
It is only reminders
Smooth sign of saying goodbye
No dates no time and no plan
A waiting game
Killing all of us softly

Of all things said about you
I know you have done a good job
A son a brother and a father
You might not accomplish
The superb
But you are superb with your strength

The journey been so tough
From the day I know you
Heartache frustrations bitterness
All inside

I wanted to cry
There is no tears
I wanted to laugh
